Understanding that the same power that raised Christ from the dead dwells within each believer, we have an expectation on Him to teach us and lead us on a daily basis. Some say that God doesn't speak to men anymore; we wholeheartedly disagree!
To be a people of prayer:
Jesus asked His disciples "Could you not pray with Me one hour?"... Piercing words to say the least. To be lead of the Spirit means to be perfected into the likeness of the Master. His was (and is) a lifestyle of prayer; how then can we do any less?
To equip the Saints:
While it is the work of the Holy Spirit to teach us "the ropes", it is in the local body that we become proficient in His teachings. The average Christian life should be marked by the signs that Jesus said would accompany those who believe (Mark 16:17). Working together and under the guiding hand of the Holy Spirit we will put into practice what we have learned so that we can be a blessing on every occasion!
To reach the lost:
"The Great Commission" as it is often called, is the last command Jesus gave us. ...Go into all the earth and make disciples... It isn't enough to "get people to say a prayer"; the command was to show them the way to Heaven and then help them live out their new found salvation.
